Loud & Proud
Dorking Loud & Proud Community Choir was established in April 2009 to provide an opportunity for residents in Southern Dorking to participate in accessible and affordable creative arts. Since the choir’s inception the popularity and reputation of the choir has spread and now attracts members from all over Mole Valley and further afield.
The choir brings together people from a wide variety of backgrounds. It is open to all ages and abilities, no experience is necessary and there is no requirement to audition or read music, just the love and enjoyment of singing.
The choir performs at local events and venues and recently took part in the Mole Valley Arts Alive Festival at the Dorking Street Party and as a guest performer at the Dorking Performing Arts Library for local County Councillor Helyn Clack. The choir takes great pride in performing to the local community through Carol Services and concerts at residential homes for the elderly and for charities such as Seeability and the Jane Ross Blind Club in Leatherhead.
Dorking Loud & Proud Community Choir is tutored by Sean Peters, an experienced choir leader, who has a particular focus on making participation fun and enjoyable for all. The choir meets on a weekly basis to rehearse a wide variety of styles from musical theatre to contemporary music and everything in between!
The choir is always open to new members, please use contact details for more information.
